Golden Sun Hotel (Adult Only 12+)

The outdoor areas are beautiful and very well cared for, and I liked the pleasant atmosphere. The food had lots of choices and tasted good, and the cocktails were excellent. The staff were warm, polite, and always willing to help. We also got to check in much earlier than expected, which was a real plus. My main problem was the room cleaning. There were cobwebs in the corners, the sheets weren’t clean, and the floors didn’t seem properly swept or washed. It often felt like cleaning was just for show. The room itself was good, though. The animation wasn’t especially impressive. Just one girl led pilates, zumba, and dancing, and I didn’t think she was very skilled at it. The sea is a 5-7 minute walk away; the beach is fine, but has lots of big stones. I left with a good impression overall, though there’s room to improve.

This is a disgusting hotel, and I wouldn’t recommend anyone go there. I’ve never seen one treat its customers with such disrespect and indifference, especially Mehmet, who says he’s the general manager. You’re humiliated for your money, and what you get bears no resemblance to the advertising. The rooms are worse than you’d expect even at the worst hotel, and the service is just as bad. IT IS VERY BAD MANAGEMENT.

The view around the hotel was very nice, and the food was good, with fresh fruit every day and grilled food every night. I arrived at 3am and wasn’t expected, but the man at reception got us settled right away. We didn’t have to wait until noon to check in, and I was grateful for that. A couple of things could be better: Wi-Fi isn’t free, and the bathroom wasn’t cleaned every day. The towels also weren’t changed as promised. The animation was good, but a bit loud, so I couldn’t sleep. For the money, it’s worth it.

The outdoor space is lovely, the mountain view from the window is great, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The cleaning ladies were especially nice, and the animators were pleasant too. Still, I wouldn’t stay here again. It felt more like a basic sanatorium with decent conditions than a proper hotel. Sleep was difficult. Discos were loud until midnight, then drunk guests wandered around making noise, and there’s no soundproofing. We usually couldn’t fall asleep until about 1 a.m. The room was tiny, including the shower, where anyone a little bigger would struggle to move. The hose leaked at both ends, the door wouldn’t shut properly, and with the toilet right beside it, the bathroom and part of the room got wet. The renovation and furniture felt cheap, and the room smelled of cigarettes. I didn’t enjoy the food; only the fresh, tasty fruit was good. Wi-Fi isn’t free and costs $10 per device.
