Hotel Grand Ring

The beach is beautiful and the pools are great. The hotel photos don't do it justice, and the rooms are okay, though not great. We liked other parts of the hotel, but the restaurant problems spoiled the trip. Our children don't want to be pushed around or shoved out of the way to get the last food. The hotel needs to manage the restaurant better. Tables of two were allowed to sit with four or five plates piled high, and after half an hour there was nothing left. At dinner, people pushed children aside to reach the front of the queue. That's not really the hotel's doing, but they need to control it better because it's ruining things for other holidaymakers. Service at the pool bar was okay until it got busy, then the queue grew long and we waited 30+ minutes for a drink. On the first couple of nights, one person was serving while another stood around doing nothing. As the bar got busier, they needed more staff.

The staff in the kitchen and bar were the bright spot for me. They were friendly and ready to help. The rest of my stay was the most unpleasant I've had in Turkey: the hotel felt generic, worn out, poorly maintained, and nowhere near a real 5-star experience. The management was rude and unprofessional, and even a simple request or question seemed to be treated as a nuisance. The corridors, shared toilets, and spa and sauna floor smelled bad and didn't look clean or cared for. I wouldn't stay here again.

The hotel needs serious maintenance, and even basic things don't work. The place was dirty, unpleasant, and the staff were rude. I feel completely misled by all the positive Google reviews. We booked expecting a decent family holiday, but the experience was extremely disappointing. It feels as if the hotel is paying for fake positive reviews, because I can't understand how it keeps such high ratings otherwise. Those reviews may be the only thing keeping it going. If you're travelling with children or expect even basic comfort and safety, skip it.

We had such a good holiday here, and the staff did a lot to make it comfortable. Baran arranged room service for my birthday even though I hadn't mentioned it or asked. Such a sweet surprise. The resort is big, with large and small buildings, two outdoor pools, an indoor pool, a private beach, a spa, and a gym. Our room was cleaned every day, with fresh towels and shampoo. There was loads of food. Some dishes stayed the same all week, while others changed daily, like the grilled meat. The sweets looked great and tasted really good, and I ate a ton of the watermelon. Everyone was friendly and easy to talk to, and they helped with all our questions and requests. Baran and Sabina at reception were especially nice and eager to help. I can't complain about anything. Five stars from me.
