Wow, really!

The breakfast was a fiasco: little choice, stale, poor quality food, dried-out cheese, bread that seemed a day old, and tea and coffee I couldn’t drink. The tables were dirty, and staff seemed overwhelmed or indifferent. Calling it a buffet doesn’t give you much reason to expect more. I also found the staff’s attitude troubling. When you report a problem, they say they’ll look into it and then brush you off without following up. You pay for service but feel like a burden, as if customer satisfaction means nothing to them. Our room was filthy. The sheets were stained, there was hair in the bathroom, and the towels were gray and clearly old. Although the room was supposed to be non-smoking, it reeked of cigarettes. I couldn’t open the window because of the noise outside, and there was no insulation. The bathroom was another mess: the shower was either freezing or boiling, the broken shower head soaked everything, and the hot water kept cutting out. After a long trip, even a shower became a test of patience. At reception, we were met by someone surly and indifferent, answering questions as if forced to. Is it so hard to say “Welcome”? What we experienced was far from what the photos and descriptions promised. The owner, Memet, stares at customers’ private parts all day long. It’s disgraceful, and he isn’t even ashamed of his age. This was one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in.

We decided not to go ahead with the booking after reading the bad reviews of İmeros Hotel, and it’s a good thing we didn’t stay there. We had reserved two rooms at İmeros Hotel Bungalow through YFC Anadolu Turizm ve Otelcilik Ltd. Şti. and paid the requested 2000 TL deposit. They said they could refund it within 21 business days, but 38 days later, nothing had been paid back. For 38 days they stalled over the cancellation and refund. If you can’t return 2000 TL in that time, tell us plainly instead of keeping customers in limbo. The staff have been stalling, too. They answer our calls only when it suits them, and otherwise pick up and hang up. Their WhatsApp messages aren’t honest either. They were attentive in the first few days, then this. I don’t recommend YFC Anadolu Turizm ve Otelcilik Ltd. Şti. or its employees to anyone. I don’t forgive them for what they did.
