The food was the strongest part of our stay. The selection was smaller than is usual in Turkey, but it was excellent, and the hotel itself had a calm atmosphere. Still, poor housekeeping and an unhelpful receptionist spoiled much of the experience. The building had recently had major renovations, yet wear was already showing: ingrained dirt in corners, warped floating floors, creaky doors, and sliding shower doors that wouldn't close properly. Every day we had to chase housekeeping because supplies were missing or insufficient. Sometimes old towels were taken without fresh ones being left. The balcony door was repeatedly left open, so after a hot, humid day we'd return to a stifling room with the lights on. The minibar also wasn't restocked with mineral water. We reported these issues daily, but the receptionist just wrote them on scraps of paper and nothing changed. Her response was always, "I am sorry, I am very sorry, it will not happen again." Then it happened again the next day. She also couldn't tell us basic things, like which bus to take or how to get to Phaselis. On our last day, after a long back-and-forth with her, we paid for a late checkout. Later we found out it wasn't needed, since the tour operator's information board showed we didn't have to pay. When we tried to get our money back, she didn't know what to do and refused to return it in euros, telling us to exchange it ourselves. She said the euro cash was handed over at 5 PM and after that only Turkish lira was kept in the register. Her words were, "If you wanted your money back in euros, you should have come earlier." That's a poor way to handle a problem caused by her own mistake.

The quiet evenings were a real plus for us, with no loud music or animation, and the hotel was great for the price. We stayed at Monk Resort Hotel in June 2025 and were very happy with it. It's cozy, clean, and peaceful, just right for a relaxing break. The sea is a two-minute walk away, and the beach is well kept with clear water. Our comfortable room had a balcony and air conditioning, and was cleaned every day. The food was tasty and varied, especially dinner. The staff were friendly, always smiling and ready to help. We'd happily recommend it and will definitely come back. I especially want to mention the manager, Emirhan. He's a real jack of all trades, with golden hands, a sincere heart, and a hands-on approach. He clearly lives and breathes this place, fixing things himself, helping the staff, talking with guests, and watching every detail, from cleanliness to service quality.

Emirhan really stood out to me. He's genuine, positive, and clearly loves his job. He does a lot for the hotel and its guests, and made sure we had a wonderful vacation. I really enjoyed everything about our stay.

The mountain view was lovely, and the ocean was nice too. The bus stop is nearby, along with a BIM and a barber. Our room was clean and neat, with quiet air conditioning, and there was always something good to eat. We also had belly dancing and live music for entertainment. The staff work really hard to make guests' stay a good one.

We really enjoyed the food and got to try lots of Turkish dishes. The hotel is new and cute, and the grounds are kept clean. It has its own beach, just a two-minute walk away. There's something happening every day: morning exercise, aqua aerobics, yoga, a kids' club, and evening shows. We especially liked Turkish Night Show, Belly Dance Show, Mister Hotel Competition, Quiz, Karaoke, and Disco. The music includes Turkish, English, Polish, Czech, and more. I'd recommend it for couples and big families alike.
