The pool area was nice for the price, and the food was questionable but decent. The sea was nearby, and we're fine with budget hotels. If two of the problems we had were fixed, we would have been satisfied. But cleanliness is the bare minimum, and this hotel didn't meet it. Anyone who wants to feel comfortable in their room won't be happy here. The cleaner seemed to take five minutes to “clean” it, and it showed. I'd rather pay a little more for a clean room and a professional setting, so I wouldn't recommend this hotel. We arrived for a quick three-night getaway before check-in time. Some rooms were already available, but for “some reason” we weren't allowed in for another hour. From the start, staff behaved unprofessionally, and nobody was at reception to greet us. Our room was atrocious: thick dust everywhere, some dirty, smelly sheets, stained towels, weak Wi-Fi, and a very old, dirty bathroom that barely worked. We had to ask staff to close the balcony door or turn on the shower because the fixtures were so fragile and hard to use that we didn't want to break them. We asked to change rooms and were promised a move, but nothing changed. For the last few days, some staff seemed to deliberately avoid us. The nearby hotel was very loud at night until 1am. I don't understand how anyone could sleep with that noise, or why reviews don't mention it. We understand this is a 3 star facility, but we still expected a clean, tidy room that had at least been functionally renovated.

We’d happily stay here again. The location is only a few minutes from the beach, and it’s good value for the money. The staff are very friendly, and the food is simple but tasty. I’d recommend it.

The pool area is extremely loud, and at night the disco at the neighboring hotel goes on late enough to keep you awake. The rooms outside the main building are old, with exposed wires, a broken shower, and no soap or shampoo. The hotel is quite far from the beach, and the street is lined with bins. Food quality is very poor. Wi-Fi only works at reception, which is crowded with teenagers using tablets. The air conditioner is very old, noisy, and leaking.

Hotel Gold Stone was perfectly placed for exploring the city. Our room was spotless, and the staff made us feel welcome from the start. It was an unforgettable stay.
