Feronia Villas

We came as four friends for a wedding, and the state of Villa Feronia was awful. The house was dusty, the kitchen greasy, and the glasses and plates were dirty. We found cigarette butts under the beds, stained sheets, blankets and pillowcases that smelled terrible, and blood on the pillowcases. The towels were disgusting too. The bathrooms hadn't been cleaned, and the soap dishes were full of water instead of soap. There were ants everywhere, which honestly seemed like the least of the problems. We suspected the bed linen hadn't been changed after the previous guests. Our friends arrived first and only checked the downstairs living room and kitchen, so they missed all the dirt in the details. They took the house, and the rest of us came back that night. Since it was late, we didn't want to bother the landlord until morning. Two people came to clean again, but the bathroom trash hadn't even been emptied, so it was obvious the place hadn't been cleaned in the first place. There are so many smaller problems I couldn't list them all here. They charged us extra for that later cleaning, even though they handed over a dirty house. The landlord acted like the house had been clean and we'd made the mess ourselves. I only photographed some of the dirty spots and will add those pictures to the review, but there were many more. A complete disappointment.

Belek Public Beach was clean and decent, and the prices were okay, but we didn't like the sea. We also couldn't find much nearby to do with the children, so next time we'll choose the Aegean rather than Antalya, or the Mediterranean. We weren't sure Belek was the right place for a villa holiday. The villa itself was nice. The pool is properly large, not one of those little ornamental ones, and the sun moves from the front by the pool and bedrooms in the morning to the back near the bathrooms in the afternoon. That makes the rooms more comfortable later on and leaves the pool partly shaded. A shower beside the pool would have been useful. There's a slight breeze, which helps with the heat, and nearby supermarkets, including a large Migros, are about a five-minute drive away. Belek is mostly hotels, but you can get what you need. The water from the bathroom and kitchen taps kept switching between lukewarm, very hot and very cold from one second to the next. Maybe there's a plumbing issue. It was strange, like a piston pump feeding boiling water from a solar system. We could cope, but the kids really struggled with it. A nearby hotel was noisy until midnight, though the children slept fine once we shut the doors and put the air conditioning on. We tried to get fish at "Belek Balık Evi" and it was a disaster. The pizza we had another day, though, was so good. Definitely try "Belek Pizza | The Art of Pizzeria".

The furniture is mostly broken and worn out, and the whole place feels neglected and disorganized. It's far from everything and in a mess. I don't get why they charge an electricity bill on top of the rent. What is that for?
