Foça is a great place to stop, with friendly people, good food and excellent fresh fish. The old Greek houses along the promenade are also well preserved. This is Focea, the historic place that founded many ancient colonies, including Marseilles. I cross Turkey four times a year from my hometown of Thessaloniki to Cesme, where I catch the ferry to Chios Island and my summerhouse. After trying several hotels and other places in Foça, I now always stay at Melaike hotel. The rooms are clean, breakfast is excellent, and the location is convenient. The hotel's unusually high quality and the politeness of the owner, madam Selma, make it a far better deal than the other places I tried.

Selma, the owner, and Hanife, the manager, welcomed us so warmly that we felt like part of a family. After such wonderful days at Melaike Hotel, it has become a special place for us in Foça. The price was very reasonable, and the hotel's spiritual beauty made the stay meaningful. Thank you so much.

We’re a family from Izmir and visit Melaike Hotel in every season. It has such a peaceful, happy and friendly feel, with a quiet family atmosphere, and the owner is very attentive. When my daughter comes to Turkey from abroad, she invites friends and family to stay at Melaike Hotel. Even people from other countries have good things to say about it wherever they go.
