Ayvazali Hotel

The food was amazing, and we had breakfast there. It’s also very close to some interesting streets. Rooms were large and clean, even with LED lamps, and we enjoyed the rooftop pool that people don’t seem to use much. Such a hidden gem for the price. The staff were very friendly. The woman at reception spoke Turkish, English, Russian, Bulgarian, and probably other languages too.

The bed was comfortable and the room was clean, with plenty of space. The staff were kind, and the price felt fair, so I’d recommend the place. Some things were dated: the furniture and electrical fittings, including a missing light bulb and a very old hair dryer. The bathroom was spacious, though the shower had weak water pressure and the cabin didn’t drain well. Breakfast was okay, nothing special.

We came in January, and the basics we needed were all there: a warm room, hot water, a soft heavy blanket, good breakfast, WiFi, and parking nearby. The reception staff were kind and chatty, and spoke English. The room looked old-fashioned and dated, but the central heating worked very well and the bed was comfortable. I was surprised by the shower with massage jets, radio, and changing lights. There are lots of historical places nearby. I recommend it.

The receptionist suggested a restaurant, and the food there was delicious. The hotel and room were good, and the price was cheap. The main problem was the shower drain: water backed up, so we had to keep the flow low to avoid flooding the bathroom.
