The big, clean rooms and the friendly English-speaking owner were good points, and Gobi Pansion is on the main road toward the old center. There are plenty of places to eat nearby, plus street parking if you can find a spot. The Red Basilica is about 1.5 km away, with the Acropolis farther on. In March 2023, a single room with a shared bathroom cost 250 TL, or 350 TL for a room with its own bathroom. The cold was the problem. There was no heating or portable heater, just an extra blanket, and I froze whenever I wasn't in bed. It felt colder inside than outdoors in March. Luckily, I had a warm sleeping bag. I gave it four stars for that reason, though it might be great in summer when the rooms are cooler than outside.
