There's no lift, so getting luggage up the stairs can be hard. Staff can help, though they're usually busy. Otherwise, it's a good quality, budget-friendly place for a short Istanbul stay. The location is fairly central and handy for tourist areas, though you'll need to walk a bit to reach the trams or sights. The rooms were decently clean, and thankfully there was no cigarette smell.

What made the biggest difference was how the Blue Istanbul Hotel manager helped us when our tour with Buta Tours went badly. We faced false promises, delays, unprofessional behavior, and a complete lack of care. It felt like a scam. The hotel wasn't responsible for the tour agency, but the manager still stepped in, dealt with them, and treated us with kindness and honesty. That sort of care is rare, and it kept our trip from ending in frustration. The rooms were spacious, clean, and nicely decorated, and the location was hard to beat, with everything we wanted to see within walking distance. The team at Blue Istanbul made this the best part of my Istanbul trip. If I return, I'll stay here again. Highly recommend the hotel, but avoid the tour agency.

The location worked well for tourists, close to Galata Tower, and the Grand Bazaar was within walking distance. Hot water was always available, the air conditioner worked fine, and they provided a kettle, tea, and bottled water each day. Room service was daily, though the drawers, tables, and balcony could have been cleaned better. Room sizes vary, and ours was okay for what we paid. The staff were friendly, especially Usman and the Manager, who were always around when we needed something and could speak English. My charger didn't fit the sockets, so the Manager lent us two chargers during our stay. It was a peaceful, budget-friendly stay, and the team deserves a shout-out.

I love this hotel. The rooms are big, and there are thoughtful little things, like a hot water tap for the bidet. The neighborhood is quiet and the view is spectacular. I don't know what else to say, I'd highly recommend coming to see it for yourself.
