Bitez Sunset Hotel

Really nice.

We were really happy with our stay. The beach, breakfast, and food were all excellent, and the staff were attentive and respectful. In our opinion, this is the best spot in Bitez. They don't seem as focused on money as other places in Bodrum.

What makes this place feel beautiful is the people. It’s a peaceful, established, clean place, and a lovely resort as well. Sertap, who has worked at reception for years, remembered my request from days earlier for a room for one night, the day before my 85-year-old mother's operation. She kindly arranged an unusually early check-in because my mother needed her medication first. Without even meeting her, Sertap also found us a ground-floor room near the entrance so Mum wouldn’t have to walk far or manage as many stairs. The room was very spacious, with flowers and greenery outside and the pool right in front. That applies beyond just this room. The pool is clean, the guests are decent and well-mannered, both local and foreign, and the gardener works all day and is very polite. The grounds feel like a botanical garden. I know the owner, Kenan Bey, a little, and he must take very good care of the hotel and staff. We were looked after too, and could spend a night here feeling as close to home as possible. We aren't throwing our money away like at some other places. I won't go into much detail about the food. Everything was cooked just right, spotlessly clean, and delicious. Bodrum is Türkiye's most popular town, and Bitez is Bodrum's. Here you can feel at home in town but away from the noise, and you'll want to stay another day, then more. I wish... A huge thank-you to Sertap and Kenan Bey for letting us stay in this lovely place. I hope my mother's surgery tomorrow goes well. My advice is to stay as long as you can afford. We stayed five nights last week in the 1+1 apartment with a kitchen. I chose the hotel based on the reviews, but we weren't happy with the room or the breakfast. The apartment was old and worn. The curtains were stained, the chairs were old and uncomfortable, and almost everything in the bathroom was rusty, including the toilet paper holder. I couldn't understand why they hadn't replaced those things when they could see their condition. There wasn't enough closet or hanging space, and the breakfast was sparse, with the same plate served every day. The wooden serving plates didn't seem sterile at all. I didn't use the kitchen much, so I can't comment on that area. The staff were helpful and attentive, and we had no issues with them. I tried to switch rooms, but was told the hotel was full, so we couldn't. For anyone planning to stay, I recommend the hotel room.
