Risa Hotel

We'd planned to stay for 10 days, but left after two nights because, in our view, neither the rooms nor the hotel felt like a four-star place. The rooms were dated and needed an update. Our first room was near the pool and smelled strongly of damp. The shower room also needed work, with black grout and sealant that needed cleaning. The phones in the rooms didn't work, and the hotel generally felt like it needed some care and staff training in customer service. The buffet wasn't great if you didn't want salad, with chicken nuggets as an option, though I have to admit there were plenty of salad choices. Staff around the pool and in the restaurant weren't friendly. The young man at reception was pleasant, and the manager was friendly at first. When we said we planned to move, he seemed to accept our decision.

The staff at Risa Hotel were very polite and helped with all my questions. My package included traditional meals regularly, and I enjoyed my holiday there. The place was clean, the rooms were spacious, and the air conditioning kept them well ventilated. Thanks to everyone at Risa Hotel for making this year's holiday so special.

The best part was being able to use the beach club at Ambrosia hotel through the hotel’s arrangement. The rest of our stay was disappointing. We arrived around 20:45, and the receptionist took almost ten minutes to tell us dinner would end in five minutes. We managed to eat, but the food was very poor and cheap. Dinner came with only water to drink. Our room smelled bad, so we had to open the windows. Breakfast the next day was very Turkish for us, and all we could manage was bread with cream cheese and a coffee. Wi-Fi was very poor too. I’d paid for all-inclusive, meaning two meals and breakfast, so when we came back to check out at noon, we waited for lunch. The employees looked at us badly for staying after checkout. I didn't want them to keep the money I'd paid for the room and two meals, and that was all I was asking for. Since we’d arrived late the night before, we hadn’t had time to use the pool then, so we went there after lunch. Someone came over and said we had to leave because we’d checked out. We hadn’t even spent more than 20 hours at the hotel, and they were sending us away while we were just sitting in the sun by the pool and not ordering at the bar. This is not a four-star hotel, maybe a three-star one that's going downhill. Not worth the money.
