Acropol Of Bodrum Beach Hotel

The suites were the better part of my six-night stay: I spent two nights in an economy room and four in a suite, and got a good off-season rate for the latter. They’re newer, clean, and spacious. The economy rooms were less appealing, with corridor noise, a half-broken bathroom, and basically no window, though I was okay with that. I skipped breakfast after the first morning because it was horrible. The food at Big Chef was mediocre, though the staff there were nice. Hotel staff didn’t speak much English, but were always helpful. I was told this beach stretch is the best in Bodrum because it isn’t windy. For the price, this hotel is probably the best value around. A dolmuş stop is a five-minute walk away, with minibuses to the midtown shopping mall and Bodrum center. A cab from Bodrum bus station costs about 500-600TL by the meter, while a private car via Marti app was 360-400TL and a Marti motorbike 300TL.

The staff were the best part of our stay at Acropol Beach Hotel. Emel, Abdullah, Baran, and another male staff member whose name I can’t recall were polite and helpful, and really tried to make things better. The street dogs wandering freely through the restaurant were concerning and made dining feel intrusive. The rooms and maintenance fell far short of what we expected from a place advertised as four-star, and the price didn’t feel like good value. In the first room, the balcony door wouldn’t lock, which left us feeling unsafe. They moved us after we raised it, but the bathroom door in the next room wouldn’t close properly. With our daughter there, that was awkward and embarrassing, and shouldn’t happen at this supposed standard. The staff did their best, but management needs to address the condition of the rooms and the general environment. We were so disappointed we would have cancelled the second day if that had been possible. I hope the hotel takes this seriously and improves things for future guests.

The service was excellent, with staff who were consistently kind and ready to help. The hotel is right by the beach and makes it easy to get around. Breakfast was amazing, with lots of delicious options, and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and practical. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

The rooms didn’t live up to the setting, though the hotel sits in a great spot by a beautiful beach and has a charming restaurant right on the shore. Most of the staff were friendly and welcoming. Some of the beach staff were a little too friendly, which felt uncomfortable at times, though that can happen at tourist spots across Turkey too. The hotel restaurant served good food with nice service, so dining there was pleasant. All in all, the stay had its ups and downs.
