Afytos Bodrum City - All Inclusive

For the price, the location is hard to beat. It's central, with beaches and clubs within walking distance, and the hotel offers activities plus free entry to the beach and clubs. I was concerned by reviews saying the food was poor and repetitive, but I found plenty of good options and never worried about going hungry. The rooms are spacious and nice, cleaned daily, with the trash taken out. There aren't many pool-facing balconies, but that didn't bother us. We were satisfied, and the hotel met our expectations.

We spent 7 nights and 8 days here on an all-inclusive stay. The location is lovely, central, and within walking distance of the sea. The service was attentive and helpful, and Chef Şahin, Bar Manager Çağrı, Ertuğrul Nida, and the many other staff made me feel at home. The breakfast buffet was good, and there was a wide choice of appetizers and side dishes at lunch and dinner. The main courses need work, though, as they offer nothing but chicken. I think future guests will be happy with the value for money.

I wouldn't stay here again. The holiday was enjoyable because of our own group, and we spent less time at the hotel, which worked out well. Ms. Nida was friendly, clear, and a real problem solver who helped us join many activities. The furnishings looked old and in need of maintenance, and the place didn't feel clean. We had a small issue as a group, but the manager's response was unprofessional and almost scolding. Staff seemed dedicated, though there were times they were short-handed. As a large group we felt safe, but I would have worried more on a girls' trip. The guests seemed to shift between families and young people, so it was a very mixed crowd. At 10:30 AM on arrival day, someone opened our room door, presumably because it was empty. We thought that was okay, but 15 minutes later we were told to leave by 12. Half an hour after that, another staff member called out from the doorway, and we had to shout to get help. The rooms were soundproof. Food was standard; breakfast was bad, so we ate little of it and filled up on appetizers. The manager remained a serious problem, and I just hoped we'd get through the holiday without more trouble.
