Costa Luvi Residence

The pool is beautiful, there are sun beds on the beach, and the staff are attentive. With a pool bar and most things nearby, Luvi Hotel feels like a real find. If you expect a five-star all-inclusive resort, this isn't that, but it's great for what it is. The food is very fresh and generally healthy, with plenty of salads, cereals, fresh bread, and cheese. After a week it can get repetitive, and the proteins could use more variety and imagination. Bring a favorite dressing or hot sauce if you like. At the pool bar the bartenders do their best, but the choices are limited: vodka or gin, sweet syrups, few mixers, and just one beer on tap. It was cold, brown, fizzy, refreshing, and I think it was called Troy. That was my go-to in the sun. My partner didn't enjoy the wines and ended up switching to beer, which was unusual for them. The music can wear you down. It's the same roughly one-hour loop of cover songs from 11am to 11pm, and I still have it stuck in my head while writing this in Amsterdam. If you ask nicely, they do take sensible requests. Rooms are neither great nor bad. There's air conditioning, and the cleaner could use some more training. We had our best holiday together here. The hotel was great, everything was perfect, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Its location was really good, close to Bodrum center and Gümbet Bar street. Animator Huseyin always helped us enjoy our time in the clubs and kept an eye on us there. The bar was a letdown, with very few drinks and none of the usual cocktails. There wasn't any entertainment either, though some light evening entertainment would have been lovely. Parking is a mess because of the difficult terrain. Breakfast could use more fruit and egg choices. Still, it’s a small boutique hotel with a personal feel, right by a relatively quiet stretch of beach. The location is a gem, and the hotel and grounds have relaxing vibes. Lunch and dinner weren't extravagant, but they were very tasty. The bar and reception staff were excellent, friendly, and helpful.

The room change was a downgrade: we had booked and paid more for a suite, but after the first night they offered us a standard room because no suite was available. The manager seemed completely unconcerned. Our air conditioning never got fixed, despite being told someone would come to repair it. On arrival, the AC in our suite wasn't working, so they sent us to an awful hotel for the first night. When we returned to Costa Luvi the next day, it still wasn't working. The manager then said we'd be moved to a room with AC, which turned out to be the standard room. The food was fine. Dinner was fresh, while lunch seemed to be the previous day's food in a different sauce or form. Alcohol and drinks at the bar were inexpensive, and the draft Efes was the only decent option. The location is good, with lots of trees making it peaceful, quiet, and not so hot.
