Laden Hotel Bodrum

The location was excellent for walking to the sights and the beach, and I really enjoyed my stay. The sheets were clean and didn’t smell, and my room was very clean. It also had a safety box, which was useful. I did miss having slippers, and I could sometimes hear the neighbors through the thin walls. My room was on the third floor with no elevator. Luckily, I only had one small suitcase, but carrying heavy things up would be hard.

The owner and cleaners were bad, and this was the worst place I’ve ever known. A friend was thirsty and drank from an open bottle of water. The owner started shouting at him, demanding money. We’d agreed on a price over the phone, but when we arrived ten minutes later, they said it was more expensive and started shouting.

I was hesitant because of the recent negative reviews, but this is a nice, basic 2-star hotel, great if all you need is a clean place to sleep. The open pool area and city view are lovely, the rooms feel clean, and the staff are friendly. The water gets hot and the heater works. It’s near the bus station, and about a 15-minute walk to the castle and beach. The rooms are small, and the walls are so thin you can hear neighbors’ phones and conversations. There’s also a sewage smell from the bathroom, probably because of old pipes, which may be normal in older hotels. For the price, I don’t have any major complaints.

The hotel was within walking distance of the main town, and the pool was nice. I think it was disinfected regularly. We paid $125 per night for two adults and two children. Service could have been better, though, as staff were busy. During our five-night stay, the room was cleaned only once.
