We planned to stay two nights, but left after the first because the conditions were so awful. I couldn’t relax or feel comfortable at all, and it wasn’t worth the money. The bathroom was filthy and smelled bad, the toilet was stained, and the floor was dirty. The whole room felt unhygienic, and the ventilation didn’t work, leaving the air stuffy and unbearable. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Getting to the major places and activities is easy from this location, and the staff are welcoming and supportive. But there was no kettle, coffee, tea, bottled water, glasses or cups in the room. Guests have to share a single water dispenser in the lobby. The location and access are perfect, highly recommended.

I spent a week here with my mom, and the location was perfect. The port and central restaurants are all within walking distance. Everyone at reception treated guests with respect and kindness. I also had an insecurity event, and the front desk staff, workers and even the owner all got involved to help and find a solution. The rooms and cleaning were as described, and the hotel entrance is very nice. I’d definitely recommend hotel 48!!!!

The air conditioning was a big help with daytime temperatures reaching 40°C and still around 30°C at midnight. The hotel is conveniently placed near the town center and an excursions booking center, with a lovely bakery across the road. Beaches and markets are just a two-minute walk away. The toilet water smelled awful, and it left the bathroom with an unbearable stench. Breakfast choices were limited, but the bakery more than made up for that. We had a wonderful stay.

The breakfast was tiny, just a slice of tomato, two small pieces of cucumber and a boiled egg. Staff offered no service or smiles, and the receptionist wasn’t very nice when we arrived. The room and bed were dirty, and the toilet had a dirty sheet in it. We moved out a day early even though we’d paid. There were no windows in the room. A terrible experience.
