Mimi Hotel Ankara

Breakfast was okay, nothing special, though we found food we could eat. The coffee machine was a disaster. The Wi-Fi was horrible too, only 12 mb/sec on a speed test, when it's usually 100 mb/sec. The only person I can praise for service was the guy who helped us park. He was hospitable and helpful. The others didn't speak English and didn't seem to try to help proactively. They didn't even say sorry about the smells or the safe box not working. The rooms felt tired, with old furniture, but the smell was the real problem. The first day it smelled like sewage. The AC only worked with the window closed, and it didn't bring in fresh air. The windows only opened a tiny bit at the top, so there was no fresh air. The next day it smelled of cigarettes, even though we had chosen a non-smoking floor. Neither the AC nor opening the window helped. Reception moved us to another room, but that didn't solve it either because our new neighbors were smoking in a non-smoking room. We went back to reception, and they said they couldn't do anything because they couldn't enter guest rooms. It was 11 in the evening, so where could we go? My migraine and our discomfort didn't seem to matter, and other people breaking the no-smoking rules was apparently okay. I'm so angry about how non-smokers were treated and how helpless the hotel staff were. And four stars? I don't know who gave this hotel that rating. I hope this feedback changes something, or at least helps someone else avoid being as disappointed as we were and choose another hotel.

The breakfast is open buffet, with fresh products, and the staff are friendly and helpful. I feel safe staying at MİMİ OTEL whenever I come to Ankara. It's in a pleasant area and easy to get to.

The location is good, but the air conditioning doesn't work. Guests end up sleeping in warm rooms without AC, even though management knows about the problem and doesn't fix it. They try to persuade you to open a window, use a fan, or eventually check out. The counter management leaves you helpless, and the staff are extremely rude. I don't recommend this hotel at all.

We left the same day. The air conditioning in the rooms doesn't work, and the staff wouldn't help us stay without it. It was a take it or leave it situation. The morning manager didn't listen, and the staff were very rude. This was the worst hotel I've ever checked into.
