Tropicana Beach Hotel

I was staying next door rather than at this hotel, but I’ve booked it for May 2026. The staff were lovely, the vibe was great, the food was good, and the pool looked amazing and deep all over. Looking forward to my stay.

This is our second year here, and I love the hotel. The rooms are lovely and tidy, and the staff are amazing. We’re due to go home tomorrow :( but I’ll book for next year sometime in the next week or so!

The pool is lovely, if a little cold, and there are free sun loungers around it and on the beach just across the road. They get put away at around 6. Housekeeping changed the towels and tidied up every day. It’s a lovely little hotel with the friendliest staff and a really nice atmosphere. It has a traditional style, so some fixtures and fittings are older, but they’re clean, working, and in acceptable condition. I paid for AC, which didn’t work at first, but reception quickly sent someone to fix it. It just had the wrong remote. The food and drink are good, though a little pricier than many local restaurants and bars, which is a good excuse to explore. I was very pleased with my stay and would definitely come back.

The pool is large and very clean, and the staff made us feel welcome. Our basic room was 305, just above reception, so the Wi-Fi worked well. We paid £45 for air conditioning, which only cooled the main living room, and the kitchen utensils could use replacing. There was a good-sized fridge, kettle, toastie maker, and a two-ring camping-style hob. The beach across from the hotel was disappointing and not cared for like the stretches by nearby hotels. Gumbet, with plenty to do, is about a 10-minute walk away.
