Water Garden Apart Otel

The location is decent, though getting to the beach takes a bit of a trek. The rooms are mostly clean and okay, but the beds feel like sleeping on bricks, and noise from upstairs and next door comes straight through the thin walls. Food here costs nearly twice what it does at restaurants, and it's only okay, not something I'd want for a two-week holiday. I'd call it three-star at best. Fine for a cheap trip if you can manage the noise and lost sleep, but I wouldn't stay again.

The staff really made our week at Agar aparts. They were amazing, and housekeeping was attentive. We could happily spend the whole day relaxing at the property, though the main strip is an easy ten-minute walk away. The food was wonderful and served throughout the day, and the cocktails were delicious too. The owner and his daughter were such lovely people. We had a fantastic stay.

The most helpful part was that some staff were keen to answer questions and help with luggage. Beyond that, I found quite a lot disappointing: the beds and showers, the self-catering appliances, and some of the food prices. Food quality and service were hit and miss, too. I also had concerns about staff welfare and how the staff are treated. There were other issues, but those were the main ones.

The poolside bar is a real plus, with reasonably priced drinks, around 200 lira for a beer and a soft drink. The pool works well for families, though it can get busy at certain times depending on the season. The apartments are spacious and family friendly, set away from the busy main street and about a ten-minute walk from the beach. The kitchen is basic, and the optional aircon isn't very effective in the bedroom, though it kept the dining room area cool. Food is readily available in the restaurant area. Reception were helpful, and the bar and kitchen staff deserve special credit. They were always friendly and helpful, worked nonstop, and went above and beyond. I hope management appreciates what a great team they have. I also recommend booking the daily boat trip through Agar Apartments. At £40 per person, it seemed fantastic value, including breakfast at Agar, dinner on the boat, and an evening meal back at Agar. I'd book Agar again if I return to the area.
