Bodrum Vera Hotel

The breakfast was a letdown. There wasn’t much choice, the hot food was lukewarm even though we arrived around 8:30 AM, and the area needed cleaning and maintenance. We were only offered tea, with no juice or water, though those could be bought at reception. The cats and dogs around the property didn’t bother us, but they sometimes went into the breakfast area. We chose this place because it was rated four stars, yet the maintenance, cleanliness, and basic amenities fell well short of that. Staff seemed more focused on their own comfort than guests. We saw them lounging by the pool, smoking, and talking loudly at the bar, which made the atmosphere feel unprofessional. The rooms are around the pool, reception, and bar areas, and those spaces seemed to get little attention. The property needed serious cleaning and upkeep from the moment we arrived. The timber floors were damaged, and several parts, including the rooms, needed a lot of work. In our room, the wall had water damage and peeling paint, the air conditioner had cobwebs, and the glass shower screen was unstable. The sink basin and toilet roll holder were rusty. It was very dusty, and the mattress and pillows were extremely uncomfortable. There was no safe in the room, and water was only available to buy at reception. I won’t return or recommend it.

The pool was lovely and warmed nicely in the sun, and the views were spectacular, especially with a beer from the bar. The bar prices were quite reasonable, about 250TRY for a beer and an iced tea. The beds were very comfortable, and the service and views were excellent for the price. It’s roughly 10-15 minutes from the seafront, lively atmosphere, and bazaars. We’ll come again.

We had such a good time relaxing by the pool, and town is just a short walk away, which was really convenient. The views were pretty, and the bar prices were reasonable, which is rare for a hotel. Everyone on staff was kind, attentive, and happy to help, and they gave us some great local tips. We’d definitely come back to Bodrum Vera!

We left very happy and would definitely recommend this lovely, good value boutique hotel. It was clean and in a great location. Breakfast was the only weak point, as it wasn’t enough for us. It works well as a room-only stay. Thank you very much.
