Hotel Asikoglu

I really liked this hotel. The owner worked hard and was friendly, helped us with our problems, and found us a cheap taxi. They greeted us with tea when we arrived and were very polite. A group of around 120 people came to the restaurant while I was there, and there was also a motorcycle group using about 13 rooms. We chose Aşıkoğlu Restaurant over the village restaurant in the bazaar because it suited our level, and I’d recommend it. The food was very tasty, and the prices were very good for Turkey. I don’t understand why people dislike the restaurant. The rooms worked well for us, too. When I visited, the weather was 22 degrees and they gave me an electric stove, which was quite enough. I’d suggest coming in June or July so you don’t get cold. Thank you, Aşıkoğlu touristic facilities. Everyone should go and enjoy these good feelings.

This was a bad choice. There was no hot water in the room and no bottled water to drink, while restaurant prices were very high. They charge extra for everything. Definitely not a good hotel to stay at. Hotels with good service and attention earn recognition, and this one deserves to be rated as it really is: disastrous.

The owner is a nice person, but greedy. The room was spacious and clean, and the location was good for visiting the archaeological site. Breakfast was poor and ridiculous for the price. I’ve had much better breakfasts at other accommodation for a lot less.

There aren’t many places to eat nearby, so we went with the first one we saw. It’s clean and well run, with typical Turkish food, reasonable prices, and good hospitality. They also give you maps and useful information. If you’re not a gastro tourist, have lunch here and move on. If you want something unusual, do your homework on the other places around first.
