Poli House

We’re seasonal tenants, but the damp rooms and unreliable internet have been a constant problem. Wi-Fi only works in the living room, not the bedrooms, and the house doesn’t warm up because they turn on the gas very late. The staff are overly friendly for no reason, while almost everything else is an issue. There are frequent police checks around our building, and they often come to our apartment even though we’re seasonal students. They say the fourth floor will be only for girls, but don’t believe that, since people other than female students live there, and workers stay in the apartment across from ours. Save your money and rent somewhere else. It’s a bad place, and I don’t recommend it.

Don't stay here. Noise and smells made it impossible to sleep. You can hear every word from the next room, and people were shouting and singing all night. The smell got into all our clothes. A room described as clean had hair everywhere. This isn’t a place for families, and even one star feels too generous.

We paid 1500 TL a night for two adults and two children. There was enough room for us, with one double bed, two singles, and two sofas. I’m not sure if it was the apartment owner or an employee, but they were helpful, thankfully. Still, the previous guests had left a mess, the sofas and beds were broken, and even the water heater didn’t work. The manager said it was broken and would be replaced the next day, but we were staying that night. Nothing seemed to have been maintained or repaired, despite the promissory note they have you sign when you arrive. Remember to get that note back at checkout, and check the batteries and taps when you rent the apartment.

I gave five stars so people would notice this review. It might be a nice option for a short stay, but the hygiene is awful. The beds, frames, and sofas were very dirty, and the apartment had bedbugs. We woke up with bites and red marks every day. At first we thought mosquitoes, then looked for other bugs, never imagining bedbugs were there. But they’ve infested the building. We complained more than once, and the staff brushed it off, saying they’d arrange pest control. I hope they take this seriously, replace all the furniture, and treat the building.
