Orçun, Ozan, and their father were always ready to help with anything we needed. Their mother cooked with the freshest ingredients, like a five-star chef, and the food was so fresh and delicious. The owners were incredibly friendly, the garden was beautiful, and we felt completely at home. We could walk to the city center, though by car it’s only 10 minutes. Aquarium Bay nearby is a must-see and a lovely place to swim. The beach is at the end of the garden, with sun loungers ready, but bring water shoes for the stones. Huge thanks to them all. Hope we can come back soon.

The rooms smell like a toilet. Don’t waste your money.

The beach is quiet and lovely for sunbathing, relaxing, or reading, and parking was easy. The seabed is shallow and rocky, though, so you have to walk quite a way over the rocks to swim. The place itself is surrounded by peaceful greenery, and the staff were welcoming. Breakfast was fresh and tasty, the rooms were neat and clean, and having a few novels in the room was a thoughtful touch. The bed was extremely hard and left us with back and waist pain. That uncomfortable bed is the only reason we might choose somewhere else next time. Our personal beach towels got dirty on the first day. We asked if they could be washed and offered to pay, but were told they didn’t provide that service. They kindly washed them that first day, but declined our request on the second.

The seabed right in front of the hotel wasn’t really to our liking, a mix of sand and stones, so with our child we mostly went to Sulubahçe Beach instead. It’s all sand, and we felt much more comfortable there. We stayed at the Malbec Hotel from July 14-18, four adults and one child, Nora. The hotel is right by the sea, just steps from the beach, in a quiet, peaceful setting that fits Bozcaada well. We had rooms 7 and 8 upstairs. They were adequate, clean, with hot water coming on right away and effective air conditioning. The hotel serves breakfast, and dinner can be ordered until 3 PM. We had sea bream one evening and enjoyed it. Food is also brought to the seaside, and the gözleme and beer platter were nice with the sea view. The beach is long, so we did plenty of walking and even had a pleasant picnic. It’s well suited to a quiet holiday in nature. Thanks to Nora, we got close to the owners. Their adorable dog, Akilla, brings a lot of joy to the hotel. Mr. Ayhan and his son Orçun were attentive and friendly, and the three Ukrainian sisters working there were sweet and helpful. They even walked us to the door when we left. I think this could become our family hotel :)
