Hotel Avcı

The staff were friendly, and the rooms were lovely for a reasonable price.

Super.

Getting the room cleaned took repeated reminders. I asked four times, and although staff came by three times, they only mopped the hallway and left. Dust, dirt, and hair were everywhere. The bathroom had dried soap and hair, and I couldn't shower without wearing slippers. The shower cabin was broken and so dirty I hesitated to step inside. Towels and pillows were stained and full of hair, so I covered the bed and pillows with my own towel and couldn't sleep without one. Then small insects showed up on the bed, and I had to cover the whole thing to sleep. Cupboards and drawers were dusty, and there wasn't even a clothes rack. This level of service is unacceptable and far below standards. Our money and basic human rights deserve better. I filed a complaint with CİMER (Turkish Presidential Complaint Center) and hope they take action. We thought being so close to the sea meant the location was great, but it's a long way from the places to visit around Giresun, including Mavi Göl, the travertines, the waterfall, and the plateaus.

The rooms were dirty, the beds and service were awful, and breakfast was the worst I've ever seen. I absolutely wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
