Hotel Nova Apart

For our family, including two grown-up kids, the large, comfortable room worked well. It was clean and had a kitchenette. The price seemed reasonable, and the beach is around 200m away on foot.

I was there in summer 2015. Great hotel, and the staff were great too.

We liked the clean pool and calm, pleasant atmosphere, with families and quiet guests around. There’s parking by the entrance, and the hotel is within walking distance of the beach and nearby markets. The rooms are practical, with kitchenware for making meals or tea; there’s also an on-site dining area and bar, and prices were about the same as outside. Our four-night stay did have one frustrating issue: the shower faucet had come off or was broken, and the hot and cold settings weren’t working properly. We asked for it to be fixed, but they didn’t seem to follow up. They said they’d return the next day, but nobody came. Everything else was very nice.

The location is a real plus, with everything within walking distance, and the kitchen supplies were adequate. There’s a washing machine and they provide bath towels. But the sheets were old and torn, and even after we said four people were coming, we had to beg for a duvet and sheets. The pool and guesthouse are managed by different people, and letting outside customers use the pool on Sundays is a problem. At check-in, they didn’t register IDs, which could be a security concern, and the owner didn’t know how many people were staying in each room. The service was poor compared with other places I’ve stayed.
