Kardes Hotel

The biggest downside for me was the internet. It could get so slow that working while traveling was difficult. Otherwise, I had a lovely stay from check-in through checkout. The staff were warm, reception spoke English very well, and several other employees knew enough to make communication easy. They cleaned the room daily or when I asked. My room was cozy, with a comfortable bed and decent linens. It had soap, shampoo, and body wash in refillable dispensers, plus a disposable toothbrush, sewing kit, and shoe cleaner. Breakfast was cafeteria style because of COVID-19 safety measures. There was sausage, cheese, fresh fruit, bread, çay, and coffee. The hotel is near the metro. With a BursaKart, which you can get at the nearby metro station, you can take a bus closer to tourist attractions. I walked instead, and good walking shoes helped.

Right by Kent Meydani, so the location is central. Breakfast was delicious, and the staff took great care of us. Many thanks to the whole team for the service. I'll definitely book here again when I'm back in Bursa.

I'm an Asian student here, and an older employee at this hotel was racist toward me when I walked by. You're dealing with foreigners, so I can't believe someone would act so uneducated. Don't be racist. That was rude. This hotel is disgusting. The staff's racism is severe. I don't recommend it. They discriminate against East Asians. Stay away.

At 7:03 in the morning the WiFi was weak and downloads were painfully slow, over 100 kb at best. My gaming laptop kept lagging online, and Instagram uploads on my iPhone crawled too. The people I met were friendly and cool, but I'm serious about the internet. This isn't 5G turbo, and the manager's approach to it is a bad idea. I liked the classic rooms, but got bored with the TV: the national channel showed a black screen and wouldn't connect to satellite, so I couldn't watch American movies. Thanks.
