Martin City Hotel

The beds were comfortable and the staff pretty nice, but the internet was out and the floor and other things were dirty. The mattress and bathroom were dirty too, and the price was bad.

The room was very clean, and we had fun chatting with the kebab staff across the road. Still, the lack of towels, bedding, plates, cups, and other utensils was disappointing. We didn't get to meet Martin, unfortunately, or we would've had a few things to tell him. Local football supporters drove by honking every night. At first it was exciting to watch people hanging out of car windows with flares, since the road was so close to our window, but it got annoying. We could've laughed it off, except the staff seemed very unenthusiastic about us being there.

I liked the clean room, and I think having the hotel in front of a police office was good. The woman who greeted me was friendly, but the curly-haired woman who took over at the front desk during the night wasn't friendly, and I didn't like that.

The staff were welcoming, and the hotel is in a perfect spot near the market. Popular shops by ulu Cami are also very close. We came to Bursa by ferry from Istanbul. Get a Bursa card. We skipped the F3 yellow bus and took the faster M1 yellow bus, which goes from the ferry drop-off. Then take the metro to demirtaspasa station, exit, and follow the slope on your right to reach the hotel. It's very easy.
