Ulu City Hotel

My advice to anyone visiting bursa is to stay somewhere else. I've never had such a bad reception before. They don't know how to speak to people at all. Worst hotel I've ever found.

At least the location is close to the city center. The room, though, smelled of sewage, even with a clean bathroom, and I never managed to get a proper night's sleep. The night staff talked loudly just half a meter from my room, watched a movie, and kept slamming doors, so I had to get up repeatedly to complain. My room was in the basement, only half a meter from reception. When I said I didn't want to stay there, they offered to cancel through booking.com, or give me a better room for extra money. I refused. The room was badly thought out, with awkwardly placed sockets and no minibar, although the listing mentioned one. They brought it only after I pointed that out. The kettle was so dirty I couldn't use it, and after I handed it to staff, they still didn't bring me a clean one. Breakfast was so meager it didn't justify the extra charges. Disgusting experience.

We only stayed one night, and the room was decent enough for that. But it seemed to still be under construction, with holes in the walls and a strange pipe sticking up out of the floor in the shower. I think it would've bothered me on a longer stay.

We arrived at night after calling in the afternoon and being told a room was available. The toilet was dirty, there were flip flops from the previous guest in the bathroom, cigarette ash in the room, and the sheets and towels had been used. Since it was late and raining, we had to stay, but asked them to clean it. They only replaced the sheets and used the shower to clean the bathroom. Disgusting. We couldn't communicate well because they didn't speak English, and no money was returned. Breakfast was poor. Worst hotel ever, don't go.
