This little house feels like a slice of paradise. It’s completely separate, with a small porch where you can sit and eat while looking down at the tea fields and river. Inside, there’s a wood stove, and they bring wood each day, plus a two-burner gas stove and plenty of kitchen utensils. You’ll need a car to get there because the climb from the village is steep. The road is in good condition, though, and we found it easy even in the rain. The village has a handy supermarket, a bakery, and some restaurants. Wi-Fi was slow, but still usable. The owner’s son communicated with us in English through Airbnb and kept checking whether we needed anything. His father didn’t speak English, but was friendly and helpful.
