The pool and sunbathing area have a lovely atmosphere, and the location puts you just a 3 minutes walk from the middle of the main tourist street while keeping you on a quiet road. The staff were delightful and very helpful. They checked us in early when a room was available, let us use a shower room after checkout, and helped us get around and make our way to the airport. Breakfast is served until 11h, but they kindly brought it to us around 12h. Some ground floor rooms face the street, so you may hear local families and kids. It wasn’t bad. My main concern was the cleaning: the rooms have cozy decor in wood, stone and marble, with gaps and little cavities where dust and stray hairs had collected. WiFi seemed to reach only the main lounge and pool areas, not most rooms.

The hotel manager was super nice, and I had a great time. It’s a lovely spot tucked away from the crowds in the center, and even if you just stop in for a drink, you’re welcome. Thanks for the hospitality!

Such a warm, homey welcome in a beautifully designed space, like an oasis in the inner village. The staff were attentive and lovely without hovering, and breakfast was lovely too. I’d really love to come again.

We left early and booked another hotel, the first time I’ve ever done that. This place ruined our vacation. It was a complete disaster, far too expensive for the service, and I travel privately and for business at least 30 times a year. I’ve never stayed anywhere worse, even cheap pensions are better. The photos make it look nicer than it is, the pool is far too small, and the rooms are cramped. Why does Ala Hotel charge so much? Who writes the fake positive reviews? The staff were two young people, unprofessional, careless and unfriendly. Breakfast arrived 20 min. late even though it wasn’t busy, and the quality was zero. The cheese was rubbery and tasteless, so cheap it barely seemed like cheese. There was hair, eyelashes and leftover sesame seeds in the food. Were we being served other guests’ leftovers? Tables sat uncleared for an hour after guests had left, while cats ate from them and knocked salami onto the chairs. The chairs were never wiped down. If you asked for tea, you had to repeat yourself at least 3 times because the 2 waiters, who were children, forgot or didn’t care. They stood at reception chatting instead. We weren’t given fresh towels. When we asked, we were told there weren’t any left. How can a hotel run out for days? Do they need to buy more? The floor was never mopped, so our feet were dirty right after showering, and there wasn’t even a bath mat. Nobody took responsibility for complaints. In Turkish, we’d say, "Paranla rezil oluyorsun!" That’s exactly what happened here.
