Kadagan Suites Ayasaranda

Construction nearby can be heard during the day, and getting to the water behind the property means walking through the construction area. Still, it didn't really spoil our stay. The birds around the property were peaceful, and nights were very quiet. The walls are a little thin, so we occasionally heard the neighbours. Our room at Kadagan Suites was clean, well arranged and had beautiful views of the sea and distant islands. The hosts were very friendly and attentive, always ready to bring us what we needed. We could ask at reception for extra water, tea and coffee for free, which was a nice touch. We'd definitely come back!

We had a wonderful couple of weeks in Turkey, with unforgettable experiences and memories together. My wife and I spent the first week in Istanbul, then she found Kadagan Hotel on Google for our second week. We flew to Izmir and took a taxi from the airport. The hotel is a new, intimate place with just over twenty spacious rooms, most with picturesque sea views. The staff were attentive and the owners responsive. It had all the modern conveniences we needed, from a washing machine, dishwasher and coffeemaker to pots and pans, a generous bathroom and shower, a separate bedroom and a TV. It's in an area being developed, but away from the city's bustle, so it felt peaceful. The town is a 25 to 30-minute walk away, or the hotel can arrange a convenient, affordable taxi for around six dollars. We walked there twice a day and took a cab back, and didn't need to rent a car. Before coming, we'd heard about Çeşme's lovely beaches and nightlife, and Alaçatı's cobbled streets, traditional stone houses, windsurfing and kitesurfing. I wholeheartedly recommend making a similar trip and creating beautiful memories in Turkey.

A group of four cats came around sundown and waited outside our door for food. I named the curved-tail one ketchup and the one that looked like a bandit Sand. They're very sweet, so if you're staying in this room, please bring them some cat food. We were in a downstairs first-floor room near the bar, and it was perfect for my husband and me while travelling through Turkey's small towns. The staff were kind all around, from the front desk girl to the owner and the really sweet cleaning lady, who cleaned our room very well. My only feedback is that it might be nice to have adults-only pool hours. I don't mind families, but sometimes you want to swim without kiddos splashing everywhere. You don't just stay at this family run hotel, you become part of their family. We couldn't have wished to meet a nicer family or stay in a better run place. Apo, Sarep, Doru and their team are simply the best. You can tell staff are treated wonderfully by how lovely they are to everyone. We'll be back!
