Helios Hotel - All Inclusive

The meals were awful and hardly changed from day to day. We felt that leftovers were being reused the next day, and twice we found hair in the food. When we told the person in charge, he just blamed the fan. The kitchen also wasn't fully clean, which made the food especially uncomfortable to eat. We'd paid for all-inclusive for five people, but still had to go out for meals because the food was so bad. It was the worst holiday stay I've ever had, especially with so many good hotels nearby.

The food was limited and repetitive, but still not bad. The beach area was great, with free sunbeds for hotel guests, and it was quiet enough that there was no fight for a spot. Service was excellent, especially Jerry, who kept bringing us drinks by the pool without needing to be asked. We had a lovely, relaxing stay.

The beach shuttle was fantastic, and there were lots of sunbeds in both sun and shade, though one day they forgot to tell us it would leave an hour later. Lunch was available with a small selection. The shower head wasn't attached to the wall, and it was cold some days, but otherwise we had a fantastic time for a three-star hotel. We met Turkish, German, and Polish guests, and the translator was a big help. My best friend and I booked at short notice for a much-needed break. We were warmly welcomed, our bags were taken to the room, and it was immaculate, as was the rest of the hotel. Food choices were limited during the first two days when occupancy was low, but we're not fussy, and it got better when more people arrived. The waiters Jerry, Ahmet (James Bond), mazlum, and oguz couldn't do enough for us. Well done, Helios hotel. We'd definitely recommend it and return.

The room is basic, but it’s mainly where we sleep, and the air conditioning helps a lot. The shower has excellent pressure, and we get fresh towels every day. We’ve eaten here six times since arriving in the early hours of 7/8/25. There’s been a different protein each day, plenty of salad and sides, and a changing choice of rice, potatoes, pasta, or fresh bread. I’d seen some awful comments about the food, but that hasn’t been our experience. The beach cafe also has different proteins and vegetables, plus fresh fruit. The beach is clean and roomy, with plenty of sunbeds in shade, under a canopy, or in the sun. A free shuttle runs five times daily, starting at 0900, with the last return leaving the beach at 17.10. We walked back today, and it took 10/15 minutes. The all-inclusive band covers unlimited cold drinks at the beach cafe. We haven’t tried hot drinks there, as it’s 40 degrees here! At the pool, staff are friendly and attentive, often checking on us and bringing our usual drinks. There’s a self-serve juice machine too, though the plastic cups are flimsy, so I’d make a few trips if carrying more than two. I recommend trying the Raki, it’s become my evening drink of choice. We’re staying at Helios as of 8/7/2025, and so far, it’s been more than good for a 3 star hotel. We have five days left, and if they’re like the last two, we’ll have had a brilliant stay.
