Kalinda Inn Hotel Ilıca Cesme

The rooftop, working air conditioning, and breakfast buffet were the only good parts for me. The room was missing basic things I’d expect at a typical 3-star hotel, like hair conditioner, shower gel, and a kettle. The TV was there, but the bathroom fan was broken. The bathroom hadn’t been cleaned properly. The toilet seat was yellow, and the black tile grout was dirty. The balcony was dusty, and the room needed a thorough clean. I bought bleach spray and cleaned it myself, and the toilet seat turned white right away. 🤮 I’d suggest staying somewhere else.

We left within two hours because the room was so dirty. There were blood stains on the curtains, dirt in the bathroom sink, and an unclean refrigerator. When I told the receptionist that the room wasn’t clean or safe for a young toddler, she didn’t seem concerned and still charged us the day’s rate. The room and balcony doors had no safety latches at the top. Our toddler could reach and open both, which didn’t feel safe. I asked for another room, but she kept saying our step was down and she couldn’t see whether any other rooms were available. The service was horrible. They asked us to pay the remaining balance when we arrived, and getting our money back was difficult. I’d tell people to see the room first, then decide whether to pay. I’ll never recommend this hotel. The rooms and guest service were horrible.

The beach was right across the street, and there were plenty of restaurants, cafés, and shops nearby, including Migros and Carrefour. The city center wasn’t far, and minibuses to Çeşme and Alaçatı ran until late. We stayed six nights, from 11-17 September 2021. Our room had been renovated, and we chose a sea view on the fourth floor. It was clean, and breakfast was plentiful and satisfying. Most of all, thank you to Seren at reception. She was always kind, helpful, and smiling. Thanks as well to all the other staff for making our vacation so much better. See you next time.

The room for three was a little small, but the staff were very friendly and breakfast was good. It’s a nice hotel in a good spot: cross the road and you’re at the beach.
