I’d be ready to plan another trip as soon as I left this place. It’s a small boutique hotel with only a few rooms, but there’s plenty of living space, and the atmosphere is lovely and peaceful. I’ve travelled a lot and had hundreds of hotel stays, and this is how it struck me. I saw several complaints elsewhere, but I don’t know what happened in those cases; the one-star review may even have been for another place. It feels more like a home than a hotel: a beautiful villa with a pool, and the low number of rooms adds to that feeling. From my professional perspective, the safety setup, especially fire safety, looked top-notch. I noticed the electrical panels, residual current devices, cables, and fire extinguishing system, and thought it was all very appropriate. The garden is lush with flowers, and the pool was spotless. The rooms come in 2+1 and 1+0 layouts and are quite spacious. A 2+1 room costs the same whether you stay alone or with four people. Ours was large and spotlessly clean. There’s an open kitchen with a dishwasher, stove, and all the equipment you need to cook with Alacati’s herbs and natural ingredients. The green garden has sunbeds for daytime lounging, and at night you can watch the stars in Alacati’s clean air. Parking is available all around. You don’t need much from staff here. The room is clean when you arrive, and with no food service there’s little need for staff. A woman was around, smiling and ready to help if asked. The location is in Alacati but away from the noise, which makes it ideal for a quiet night’s sleep. Prices are lower than at similar places, though I’m not sure what they’ll be next season. For what’s offered, the price seems reasonable. The rooms also have dishwashers and washing machines.
