At 1:00 am I had to leave and find another hotel after checking in late that night. The air-conditioning never worked: reception kept asking me to wait, first 15 minutes or half an hour, then more than an hour, and after they said a technician was coming, I waited another 20 minutes with nobody showing up. I was travelling for work and needed sleep before important meetings. The room itself felt badly worn. The bed sagged in the middle, the lighting was very dim, and the recessed bedside switch in the lamp didn’t work. It felt more like a hostel than a hotel. The property should be reassessed, and I hope other travellers read this before booking. When I asked to cancel and change hotels, they said no because the room had been “used,” even though I’d spent the time waiting for maintenance rather than resting. I spoke with management and found them rude and unprofessional. After a long discussion, they agreed to refund just one of the two nights for both rooms, despite the stay being unusable. As I was leaving, a receptionist asked for my credit card and CVV. I refused, and he then said he didn’t need the CVV. Nothing else happened, but it didn’t inspire confidence. I don’t think this meets a four-star standard. At best, it’s closer to two stars, and guest problems weren’t handled with the professionalism I’d expect. I sincerely hope the hotel improves for the sake of its guests. 🙏🏼
