Deniz Pension

Lovely wooden bungalows at the quiet end of the beach, in a really peaceful spot. Bathrooms were clean and tidy, and breakfast and dinner came as a great buffet. The staff are so friendly and willing to do whatever they can for you. You’re close to gorgeous, unspoiled beaches and the Med, but it still feels like a place to get away from it all. Highly recommend.

It’s a quiet spot close to the beach, with clean, comfortable bungalows tucked into an orchard. We could pick oranges and mandarins, or relax in a hammock. The family staff were nice, and having a car made it possible to visit lots of interesting places near Cirali.

I almost want to rate this place low so fewer people find it and I can keep it to myself. But I can’t do that to Deniz Pension, owner Mehmet, his partner Ramazan, his mother Fatma, his father, Emre, Onur, and all the others. It’s so peaceful, with lovely bungalows among the lemon trees, friendly service, decent food, and a clean setting. It feels like a family place but works for couples too, which is how we visited. You can make friends the day you arrive. Deniz is near the far end of the beach, where it’s wider and cleaner and there are fewer people. The sea and beach are the best in Antalya, in my opinion, and the area is deeply underrated by people who stick to five-star hotels. It’s also closer to Caretta Caretta turtles. In August, you can watch them make their journey to new life at 6-7am. The walk from the pension to the beach takes 6-7 minutes and is one of the best walks. The place was used as a filming location for the movie Odyssey, so check it out. I’ll keep the rest to myself. Go explore. Did I mention the fresh goat’s milk Fatma served every day, or her homemade pomegranate jam? Better go and see for yourself. Prices are deeply discounted for what you get, and this is more than just a budget place. You’ll want to return every year.

The rooms were clean, and the guesthouse is run by a small family who were all very helpful. It’s a calm, restful spot, just a 3-4 minute walk from the sea. There are six sun loungers and three umbrellas for guests on the beach. Breakfast was enough for us, and you can pay extra for dinner. The portions are decent and prices fair, though there isn’t much variety. Our only issue was the noise from the air conditioner and fridge. We switched them off at night since we weren’t there in the hottest part of the year, but sleeping with them running in summer could be hard.
