Dalyan Yunus Hotel

The rooms are simple, but spacious and very clean. Everyone on staff was cheerful, friendly and helpful. It’s a lovely little hotel by the river, about a 10-minute walk into town along a well-lit riverside path. Being just far enough out means there’s no evening noise. We’ll return.

This family-run place is very clean, with a well-kept garden and a good-sized pool with shaded spots. The garden reaches down to the river, and trees offer shade if you’d rather sit away from the pool. It’s a relaxing place for a holiday, about a 15-minute walk outside Dalyan. Rooms are basic, with options including two- or three-bed single rooms and double rooms. Breakfast is self-service and continental. There’s a pool bar serving snacks, meals and drinks, plus tables by the river where you can eat. If you book for two weeks, airport taxis are included. We’ve stayed three times and will be back. Some guests have been coming for 20 years and visit twice a year. Highly recommend.

We looked forward to our morning coffee at the cafe next door, both for the food and service, and it has a brilliant view over the pool. The hotel itself is brilliant and nice and cheap. We stayed for two weeks and were welcomed by two employees who couldn’t do enough for us. Whenever we asked for advice, like good restaurants or directions to a tourist site, they answered warmly, patiently and expertly. Every time we saw them, they were charming and pleasant. Our room was simple but charming, much like the whole place.

The proprietors are delightful, generous to a fault, and great friends. We saw old pals and made some new ones. The food was good and plentiful, and the outside trips were first class. Everything was taken care of, and nothing was too much trouble. It was an ideal holiday, even though I did spot a cloud. Our Turkish hosts are warm, friendly people with a great sense of humour.
