4 Oda House - Eski Datca

The unexpected charges were the biggest issue for me. They add a service fee without showing it on the menu, then charge extra for ingredients in what you ordered. You might order a drink or meal and only find out the price is higher because it includes different ingredients. That feels like a rip-off. I’d gladly pay 500 liras for coffee if the price were clear upfront, but these surprise add-ons are hard to accept when the prices are already so high. The service was just as disappointing. The staff were sullen and rude, and the woman taking payment spoke as if she were scolding customers. That’s a long way from the polite, courteous service I’m used to from shopkeepers in Datça, and not the welcome I’d expect in such a beautiful place. I’d tell people I know and post about it on social media so others don’t have the same experience. Save yourself the trouble and disappointment. Avoid this place.

A cafe downstairs has people smoking nonstop, and the smell gets into the rooms so badly it feels like being stuck in an ashtray. There’s also loud music late into the night. The hotel is run-down, and the bathroom badly needs renovating.

We had a great time at 4Oda, a relaxing boutique hotel right in the center of Eski Datça. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the little shops, cafes, and bars are right along the location. Thanks for everything!

Eski Datca is a tiny, picturesque old town, with shaded narrow lanes that feel like a movie set. A film crew even showed up on our second day to shoot some footage, quite a sight. At 4 Oda House Eski Datca, the rooms were airy, bright, and clean, with lovely high ceilings and an option for a foldaway bed. The staff were all humble, welcoming, and helpful. Onus was a generous, kind host who shared a lot of local knowledge. I wholeheartedly recommend staying here.
