Karabibik Bungalow

The bungalows are cute and simple, and the rooms were clean. The toilets flushed well, the shower was piping hot, and the air conditioning worked. The owners were kind and contacted us before check-in, though clearer directions would have helped since Google Maps isn't always accurate or current in Turkiye. The setting wasn't quite what the official photos suggested: instead of being among mountain trees, the bungalows sit behind many greenhouses, just off the main highway and close to a mosque. The garden could be lovely, but it was overgrown and messy, with piles of junk alongside the cute handmade crafts. With realistic expectations, this may still be a convenient, comfortable stay.

Everything we wanted to see nearby was just a few minutes away by car, though the place wasn't easy to find. Don't rely too much on GoogleMaps. Our room had a wonderful view, and the hosts were some of the kindest people ever. We stayed two nights, had a really good breakfast, and ate homemade fish one evening. The breakfast was included and really good, and the hosts were helpful and great to deal with. We enjoyed our two-night stay in April 2025 and would come back. The room was very clean, with a good bed, nice linen, hot shower water, and very good Wi-Fi. There was a balcony off the bedroom too. Good value in Demre. The mosque across the road gets very loud if you're sensitive to the call to prayer, lol. 🙂🙂 Bruce & Margo

The owners are friendly and helpful, and breakfast was fresh each day, tasty and filling, if modest. The place is surrounded by lush greenery and animals, including chickens, cats, dogs, goats, and peacocks. It's quiet and eco-friendly, with the natural setting as its appeal rather than anything fancy or artificial.
