Tuntas Beach Hotel Altinkum

I was sexually assaulted by a staff member, who was then told to stay away from me. My bag and personal belongings were stolen, and staff initially refused to check the CTV. It was a very traumatic experience, and I'm still trying to make sense of it. There were some kind people, though: Jasmine the maid, Ikle at reception, two other women, and the guys who took me to the pice station. Manager Sadik helped by letting me use his phone, and the bar staff were lovely. The rest of the hotel was awful. It's basic, run-down, and feels more like a hostel than a hotel, with food that's limited to Turkish dishes and has no labels. The pool is tiny, there's no air conditioning in 50 -55% degree heat, and I found no WiFi or English-speaking staff. I felt there was discrimination. There's no kettle in the room, and you have to pay for tea and coffee. Drinks are basic too, with no snack bar, ice cream, or lollies.

The beach is right outside, which was the one good thing. This is sold as all inclusive, but the food was disgusting, cold, full of flies, and nearly the same every day. I wouldn't give it to a dog. Bring plenty of money to eat elsewhere. The bathroom sink leaked all over the floor as well. Don't expect WiFi in the room; it only works by the pool or in the lobby, and even there it's terrible.

We booked for three people a month in advance, but on arrival they said the reservation had been mixed up and sent us to another hotel. They wouldn't refund our money or take responsibility for the mistake. The other place was much smaller, with tiny rooms and a bathroom that wasn't even a proper bathroom. All they offered was the option to eat and use the pool at the other hotel.

The staff felt cold and unwelcoming, apart from a few people, and the place needs a major update. There’s no food labeling, and anyone with dietary needs or a fussy appetite could struggle to find enough to eat. You have to pay for bottled water and even teabags, and there’s no in-room safe. It also wasn’t accessible for disabled guests. There was no air conditioning despite the heat, and Wi-Fi only worked in the foyer and by the tiny pool, which itself felt intimidating.
