We had a terrible experience, and I’d avoid this hotel. There were bed bugs, stains on the sheets and pillows, marks around the toilet and bathroom, and no bath head. The shower and sink water seemed to be pool water, and the pool was cleaned only once every four days. The women working there were rude and gave attitude instead of properly dealing with the situation. I don’t know where to start with the lack of hygiene. These good reviews saying it’s nice and clean are rubbish. We should have checked reviews before booking. I suspect they get workers or family to post good comments. If you don’t want to end up in hospital for four days, stay away.

The food was mediocre, with few choices and nothing especially tasty. Our room had old furniture and an unclean bathroom, and during our five-night stay it was cleaned just once. The shower only had very hot water, around 50 degrees, with no cold water, so we couldn’t bathe our two children. We asked every day and were told the hotel was crowded and the pumps couldn’t keep up. On the third day, after a scene at reception, they sent someone who fixed it. I wouldn’t stay here again.

The staff seemed to be trying their best, but the hotel needs to go further to do the job properly. The rooms were dirty, especially the bathroom, and the sheets and towels were spotted. There was sand all over the corridors. When I reported it, the receptionist said, “I’m sorry,” and left it at that. The lobby bar, rooms and restaurant are all furnished with pieces that need replacing, and the hotel doesn’t live up to its star rating. On arrival, no one welcomed or greeted us or communicated well. Management should train reception in how to treat guests with respect, and it would be helpful if staff spoke English for international visitors. It could be a good place to stay if these issues were taken care of, but I can’t recommend it now.

The location right on the beach is lovely, and the staff were friendly. The food was good too. Rooms are old and worn, though clean enough, and this doesn’t feel like a 4-star hotel. It’s okay, just not at that level.
