New Garden Hotel

Mehmet gave us wonderful service, and the rest of the staff were incredible too. The service and restaurant are great. I’d recommend this as the best hotel in the Middle East to anyone looking for both, and we’ll be returning.

The spa area was great, with a dry sauna, wet sauna, and public hamam. I also loved having a private hamam in my room. The hotel feels clean and modern, with a fun setting and a very nice bar in the restaurant area for wine and cocktails. The staff were responsive and attentive. The location is perfect, right in the center.

We changed rooms twice, but both had the same overpowering cigarette smell. It clung to the bed, carpet, and curtains, even though we were told the rooms were non-smoking, and there was an ashtray in each. The AC didn't work, so opening the windows meant dealing with noise and even more smoke. It was impossible to breathe. If you need to rest, this hotel isn't for you. Only suitable for heavy smokers.

The room was kept clean, with fresh towels and sheets every day, plus more water, coffee, and tea. Breakfast was varied and fresh, and the à la carte dishes were carefully prepared and served kindly. The staff and manager were warm and went out of their way to help, even arranging a hairdresser appointment for me. The hotel feels comfortable and friendly, and it's busy with both local and overseas visitors. Historical sites and the impressive city walls are an easy walk away. We had a very good stay and hope to come back.
