Grand Beyaz Saray Hotel

The pool was always cold, there was no jacuzzi, and a few times we foreigners were told to get out while other guests could stay. There were plenty of problems inside the room too: the toilet leaked, the fridge barely worked, and touching one outlet caused the circuit to trip and the light to go off. Toilet paper wasn't restocked, and over a week the towels were changed once, for only two of the three people in the room. On our last day, I found a cockroach on my leg. The staff didn't speak English and were extremely rude. As a foreigner, I felt like a lower-class citizen, though I don't know if Turkish guests were treated the same way. They even objected to us sitting at reception, waving for us to leave without explaining anything. Breakfast wasn't bad at first, but the menu never changed, so it got stale quickly. Sometimes food was missing, even milk for cereal, and the plates were sometimes dirty. The cutlery was plastic. Don't drink from the water fountain in the lunch room, they fill it with tap water that doesn't meet drinking-water standards. We ordered lunch and dinner for the whole week, and the food was pathetic: a cheap-sausage sandwich with a few tomato slices, or mostly bread, undercooked rice with oily vegetables or chicken, or pasta with yoghurt and oily vegetables. There were too many things that shouldn't happen in a decent hotel. If you can, I'd strongly recommend staying somewhere else.
