Park Otel

A good place to stay, with good service.

The morning after we arrived, someone I didn't know came into our room, probably with a key. At reception I got an unhelpful, almost funny response. They said I'd switched rooms, but I hadn't, and they kept insisting I had. I couldn't explain the problem in Turkish. Instead of apologizing, they tried to make me look like the one at fault. The room was still cold, with no repair or renovation done. I asked other guests whether their rooms were warm too. We'd waited 20 minutes just to find the key to get into the room. The rooms use regular keys. I was there on December 15, and the room was cold because the air conditioning didn't work. Reception told us the gas was on and the radiators were on, but our radiator was colder than the fridge. The answer to my question was even funnier. It was my third day when management seemed to take my Google review into account. They responded positively, moved me to another room, and left a polite note. That was a kind gesture, thank you. I'm dropping the one-star rating.

Everything was spotless in the bathroom and toilet, and the rooms were very clean. There's no excessive traffic noise, and if you're without a car, the taxi stand is just 20 meters away. I recommend it. The one thing missing is an armchair or sofa to sit on.

Chef Mustafa deserves a special thank you, everything he made was delicious. The buffet breakfast was excellent, with no waste and plates that didn't look bad. Reception staff were helpful too, and they always offered complimentary tea, coffee, and cookies. The rooms were clean, and the hotel sits right in the city center, so getting around was easy. We took evening walks around the center. It was our first visit, and we left very satisfied.
