Febeach Hotel - All Inclusive

The food was the one part of our stay at Febeach Hotel Side that I can praise. The cooked dishes were delicious, though there wasn't much variety, the fruit was always the same, and watermelon was only served at dinner. At other hotels I've stayed at, it was available anytime. Ice cream was offered once and cost extra, which seemed absurd for an all-inclusive hotel. Freshly squeezed juice also cost extra, and the alcoholic drinks tasted like they had no alcohol. The small bottles all looked opened already, perhaps so the drinks could be diluted. That was very disappointing. Our room was okay and acceptably clean, but felt dated and not very comfortable for a 4-star hotel. The baby cot we needed smelled strongly of mold when it arrived. We left it outside for several days to air out, so our baby had to sleep between us. Service was another letdown. Only one waiter was friendly and attentive, so we always sat in his section. At certain times, it was hard to get water. When we asked for a glass, staff took us to the kitchen and gave us tap water. The pool bar waiters were very unfriendly and didn't understand a word. After one guest complained about a waiter, he disappeared into the kitchen for a long time. Some of the advertised facilities didn't seem to belong to the hotel. There was no beach volleyball court for hotel guests, just a few public courts. The staff responsible for sports and outdoor activities seemed uninterested, and I hardly noticed when anything was happening. At other hotels, staff would regularly walk along the beach and pool inviting guests to join in. The beach area was very dirty and had large rocks that I stumbled over many times, hurting my toe. Eventually we moved to a different beach for sand and clean water. All in all, our experience with the cot, service, drinks, facilities, and beach fell far short of what we expected from a 4-star hotel.
