Hotel Ejder

A lovely family run hotel, and they were very accommodating. We were really happy with our stay and thought it was great value for the price.

We only stayed one night, but I was satisfied and would stay here again if I return. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, the air-con worked well, and breakfast was very good.

It’s clean and fresh enough, and the hotel is close to the sea. The location is good, but being right beside the street meant noise all night. I was cold the whole time because there were no blankets. Wi-Fi wasn’t great either, and breakfast was disappointing, with old bread and vegetables. For the price, I guess it’s okay, though I’m not really sure it is. I wouldn’t come back.

The receptionist had invited some friends into the lobby right after we arrived. They smoked, drank beer and talked loudly there, and we could smell the smoke and hear them from the second floor. In the morning, I rang the bell three times trying to find the receptionist for the breakfast included in our room rate, but he never showed up. We left hungry and had to find a cafe. The room was shabby enough to make us uneasy about showering. There was dried blood on the bed sheet, the air conditioner roared like a tractor, and an unexplained beep kept irritating us all night. We also couldn’t pay in euros, despite what Booking.com promised. Their card terminal only accepted liras, so I lost money on the currency conversion. The worst hotel of our whole trip, and a totally disappointing experience.
