The thermal spa downstairs was a highlight: two separate areas, each with a pool, hamam, sauna, cold plunge, changing rooms, showers, massage room and lounge. They share a salt room, and we got an hour of private use in one section. It seems the areas could also be assigned for men and women if needed. There’s a lot here that the website doesn’t mention. The garden has swings and hammocks, outdoor seating, grills and cooking spots, plus a little house with floor seating. We could pick olives and tiny oranges from the trees, borrow bicycles for free, and enjoy extra-large thermal soaking tubs and a library. We were welcomed with kekik (thyme) tea and invited to crush fresh olives in the lobby. The managers took a real interest in things, and the kitchen staff were eager and smiling. It was peaceful, with lovely sunrises from the swings, and felt just right for couples or small families wanting to relax. I’d love to see these features added to the website and mentioned in a booklet in each room so guests know what’s there.

The meals were delicious, and they served both breakfast and dinner whenever we wanted. No need to get up at 7 just to eat. We had a spectacular view while dining, too. It was a lovely place to spend our 20-day quarantine, and I was glad to be there instead of stuck at home. Mr. Mehmet, Mr. Hasán and Mr. Sadık were welcoming and kind, and the atmosphere felt very friendly.

The rooms are roomy, about 30 m2, and some have their own thermal bath. The food was delicious, and I’d definitely recommend the massage and thermal bath. It’s a newly built, family-run boutique hotel open all year.

I especially enjoyed breakfast by the garden pool and on my room balcony. The staff were pleasant, and Mr.Hasan made us feel very welcome with his warm manner. 1774 kazdagi has a friendly cultural atmosphere and a beautiful view. Mehmet bey and the other staff looked after us well, Nuriet hanim’s food was amazing, and sadık bey was a very good manager. I enjoyed my stay a lot.
