Thanks so much to Hakkan Bey for being a good host. It's a shame the room wasn't clean.

The hotel is old, and the AC had trouble keeping the room cool in the heat.

Off season, I found the price reasonable, the service good, and both the room and breakfast pleasant. It's close to Akçay center and the beach, with no trouble finding parking. Check the prices and occupancy during the season, though. The hotel sits right by the Çanakkale highway, so passing traffic may bother you at night; a room on the beach-facing side would be a better choice. If you're traveling without a car, minibuses stop right outside and make Edremit, Altınoluk, Küçükkuyu, and Asos easy to reach.

The breakfast was mediocre, though the hotel is close to the sea and right by the road. Our attic room had several problems: electrical issues that sometimes jammed, and curtains on the slanted window that wouldn't stay in place or close properly. We also couldn't lock the door when we went to breakfast. The inside iron chain was the only thing that made us feel somewhat secure. The place needs maintenance, and the hotel's security seems questionable.
