Erdek Konuk Otel

The breakfast was a mess. You had an hour and a half, and unless you got there in the first half hour, the food was gone and they didn't refill it. The cheese was so salty it was inedible, and the packaged mini breakfast items tasted bad too. On day two, they served leftovers from day one, including soft, misshapen cucumbers. They said the rooms had air conditioning, but it barely cooled anything. The building is very old and hasn't been updated, so don't trust the photos. Our room wasn't clean enough, the sheets were torn and stained, and the bathroom was awful. The shower was tiny and dirty, and the toilet flush was broken. We spent all three days trying to clean that toilet. Even the old mini shampoo, soap, and shower gel had another hotel's logo on them. The staff seemed like inexperienced students who didn't know how to act, and I think the management's incompetence is the root of the problem. We stayed three days over the holiday, and it was a disaster. I've stayed in hotels, guesthouses, and bungalows before, but never anywhere this bad. I also watched a manager throw out a customer in front of everyone in the breakfast room. The man had asked an employee for water so he could take his medicine and was told there wasn't any. When he asked how a hotel could have no water, the employee said they had water but it was chargeable. The man asked for some anyway because he needed his medicine, then complained about how strange the situation was. The manager first invited him to talk at reception, but when he kept complaining at his table, she offered to refund him and told him to leave or she'd call the police. The female manager snapped that she wouldn't let him disturb her guests, without seeming to realize how much she was disturbing us. I could say more, but that's enough reason to stay away. Zero stars from me.

The sea view from our room was the only good part. We got little information unless we asked the woman at reception, and she didn't seem interested or friendly. Breakfast was meant to run from 8:30 to 10:00, but when we arrived at 9:40 AM, some buffet food was gone and there was no tea. When we asked about tea, the answer was rude, something like, "Who wants it?" We went to another hotel 250 meters away, whose restaurant is open to the public, and had to pay for breakfast there. I won't pass by this hotel again or recommend it.

The owners seem to be after easy money, so don't even go near this place. It feels like a small town hotel in Anatolia, with pillows supposedly made from trees cut down in the Kaz Mountains and a bed like a sandbag.

The sea view rooms were the only good thing. The rooms were extremely dirty, and the air conditioning in some rooms didn't work. The pool looked nice, but it was very dirty, and I got an eye infection after going in.
